On this weeks episode Graham Farram returns to Wolumla to look at the history of sleeper cutters.

Also in this weeks episode. After fire gutted the Old Bega Hospital in 2004 the Bega Valley lost a valuable community centre. The centre was home to day care services, a community kitchen, the local weavers and potters, music groups, theatre groups, a photographic studio, the list goes on. The Friends of the Old Bega Hospital have been fundraising and campaigning in support of this treasured building ever since. After 16 years of hard work, the group has finally had a commitment, from the state government, that they will receive 3 million dollars in funding. So what does that funding mean and when will we see things kick off again. How can we help?

The ’Raise The Roof’ fundraising event is held on the last Sunday in October between 10 am and 2 pm. You’ll find more details on the Friends of the Old Bega Hospital Facebook page and website.
